Delta Dental of Massachusetts Celebrates 60 Years of Empowering Smiles

Three Massachusetts nonprofits will each receive $30,000 to expand access to oral health and community care

BOSTON — June 5, 2026 — Delta Dental of Massachusetts (DDMA), the leading dental benefits administrator in the state, is launching its 60th anniversary celebration with $90,000 in donations to three Massachusetts nonprofit organizations advancing access to oral health care and community wellness.

The employee-selected organizations — Tufts University School of Dental Medicine’s Special Care Dental Clinics, Dental Lifeline Network, and Boston Health Care for the Homeless — will each receive $30,000 to support programs serving vulnerable residents across the Commonwealth.

“Being able to celebrate Delta Dental of Massachusetts’ 60th anniversary by supporting organizations that our employees personally selected makes this milestone especially meaningful,” said Erik Montlack, president of Delta Dental of Massachusetts. “For six decades, we’ve been committed to improving the health and well-being of communities across Massachusetts, and these organizations reflect the importance of expanding access to oral health care — which is an essential part of overall health for everyone. We’re proud to recognize and support their vital work.”

The 60th anniversary grant recipients reflect DDMA’s mission of Empowering Smiles by expanding access to oral health care and supporting healthier communities across Massachusetts.

  • Dental Lifeline Network connects vulnerable older adults and individuals with disabilities to volunteer dentists who provide medically necessary dental care.

“We are grateful to Delta Dental MA for their valuable support of Tufts Special Care Dental Clinics’ mission to provide comprehensive dental care for adults and children with developmental disabilities,” said Nadeem Karimbux, Dean of the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.“Through our longstanding partnership, we are able to improve our facilities with advanced technologies to best meet the unique needs of this group while training the next generation of dentists to serve this population throughout their careers.”

“Dental Lifeline Network is tremendously grateful for the enduring partnership and support of Delta Dental of Massachusetts,” said Lynda MacDonald, president and CEO of Dental Lifeline Network. “Because of this support, almost 250 vulnerable adults in Massachusetts have received almost $1.5 million dollars in comprehensive dental care.”

“BHCHP has been deeply grateful to have the support of Delta Dental and its employees for over 20 years, and we can't overstate the impact of this partnership on our patients and our program,” said Denise De Las Nueces, CEO of BHCHP. “The patients we serve so often suffer from significant oral health needs, and the support of Delta Dental has ensured that we are able to bring the highest quality dental care within their reach. Knowing that BHCHP was selected as a grant recipient by the employees of Delta Dental makes this honor even more meaningful. We extend our sincerest thanks to the Delta Dental staff community for its commitment to caring for the most vulnerable individuals in our city.”

Other recent DDMA community contributions include a veterans’ oral health partnership with Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, supporting dental students who are struggling with food insecurity, expanding mobile dental care for kids, and recognizing local providers as Oral Health Heroes through grant awards.
